Comparison
ChatGPT Ads landing page checkers compared
For a quick check of one landing page, a free web tool such as AdsBot Inspector or our ChatGPT Ads readiness check is enough. For checking long lists of URLs in one run, developers use actors on Apify. No checker can guarantee approval, because none of them is OpenAI’s crawler and OpenAI also reviews the ad against its policies.
Details below come from each tool’s public page, checked on November 1, 2026.

AdsBot Inspector
A free tool with no sign-up that describes itself as simulating OAI-AdsBot. Beyond access checks, it screens the page for ad policy compliance and scores how closely the page matches your ad copy.
Choose it if: you want a policy-category screen alongside the access checks. Ours does not screen policy categories.
The Apify actors
Three actors on Apify cover the access side for developers and agencies with many URLs. One focuses on robots.txt policy per page path and can optionally simulate the OAI-AdsBot user agent. Another checks HTTPS, robots.txt, images and a product feed sample, and states that it does not spoof OAI-AdsBot. The third audits 1 to 50 HTTPS landing pages per run, priced from $2 per 1,000 pages. All three return data files rather than a report for clients.
Choose them if: you are comfortable with Apify and want raw results for many URLs at once.
Our ChatGPT Ads readiness check
Built for people who need a clear answer and the fix. It marks every finding as Confirmed, when we observed it directly such as a robots.txt rule or a broken link, or Possible, when it may affect OpenAI’s crawler but cannot be proven from outside. It also opens your page with the tracking parameters live ChatGPT ads arrive with, including the oppref and olref values OpenAI adds, and records the full redirect chain, so a redirect that drops your UTM tags shows up. We do not impersonate OAI-AdsBot.
Each check saves a snapshot of the result, which is the basis for the scheduled monitoring and alerts we are building next for agencies with live campaigns.
Choose it if: you want plain findings with fixes, in a format you can forward to a client or developer.
What no checker can prove
Every tool on this page sends requests from its own servers. Firewalls can treat OpenAI’s crawler differently, and OpenAI notes that Cloudflare verifies OAI-AdsBot as a known crawler, so a page can block a checker and still pass, or the reverse. Policy review is also OpenAI’s decision. Use any checker to remove obvious blockers, then confirm the ad’s status in Ads Manager after you submit. For the full list of what to check by hand, see our OAI-AdsBot checklist.

Questions
Can any checker guarantee my ChatGPT ad will be approved?
No. Checkers request your page from their own servers, not OpenAI’s, and OpenAI also reviews the ad against its policies. A clean result means no problems were found.
What is the most common landing page problem for ChatGPT ads?
A robots.txt rule or firewall setting that blocks OAI-AdsBot. OpenAI’s guidance says advertisers must allow it and that support cannot bypass a blocked crawler.
Which checker should an agency use for many client pages?
For one-off bulk runs, the Apify actors accept lists of URLs. For repeated checks across clients, choose a tool that records each result so changes can be compared over time.
