AI search agency or audit tool? LeapOut, LocalEnhance and doing it yourself

Hire an AI search agency when you need ongoing work done for you, especially the off-site work that shapes what AI assistants say about you: reviews, Google Business Profile, content and outreach. Use an audit tool when you, or a developer you already have, can make the on-site fixes yourselves. Many businesses end up using both.

This page compares two agencies we see advertising in ChatGPT in the Philippines with doing it yourself using Blanc. Agency details come from their own public pages, checked on November 1, 2026.

LeapOut

LeapOut describes itself as Southeast Asia’s first dedicated AI Commerce agency. Its services cover technical SEO, generative engine optimisation and AI visibility monitoring, alongside Shopify Plus builds and performance marketing, and it lists brands such as Bench and Under Armour among its clients. Its LinkedIn page says it is based in Pasig, has 11 to 50 employees and is backed by an Australian independent media agency.

Good fit if: you run an ecommerce brand and want one partner for search, your store and paid media.

LocalEnhance

LocalEnhance focuses on independent, owner-operated businesses. Its core work is Google Business Profile optimisation, review generation, photos and posting, layered with schema and technical SEO so AI assistants can describe a business accurately. It lists plans from ₱50,000 per location per month and also builds its own local SEO and GEO software, Lifto.ai. It operates as LocalEnhance LLC in the United States, with delivery teams in the Philippines.

Good fit if: you run a local business and want your Google profile, reviews and local content handled for you.

Doing it yourself with an audit tool

An audit tool finds the on-site problems and tells you how to fix them. Blanc checks whether AI crawlers can reach a page, whether its schema states the facts people ask about, whether answers come first under question headings, and whether a ChatGPT ad landing page can pass OpenAI’s crawler check. Each finding shows the rule or line it came from, and paid plans write the schema and llms.txt for you.

Good fit if: your site has fixable technical gaps and you have someone who can edit it.

What an agency does that a tool cannot

AI answers draw heavily on what other sites say about you: reviews, directories, roundups and press. A tool can tell you your page is readable. It cannot earn you mentions, collect reviews or keep a Google profile active every week. If those are your gaps, an agency’s ongoing work is what you are paying for.

What a tool does that a retainer may not

A tool gives you an answer in seconds, on any page, whenever you change something. It lets you verify claims yourself, including an agency’s, and it costs a fraction of a monthly retainer. For many small sites the technical fixes are a one-time job.

How to choose

  1. Run a free audit on your most important page, or check it by hand with our guide to what blocks AI crawlers.
  2. If the findings are technical, such as a robots.txt rule, missing schema facts or a JavaScript-only page, fix them yourself or with a developer.
  3. If the page passes but AI assistants still describe competitors instead of you, the gap is likely off-site. That is where an agency earns its fee.
  4. Whichever you choose, ask for evidence you can check, and be wary of anyone who guarantees AI citations.

Questions

Is an AI search agency worth it for a small business?

It can be, if you need ongoing work you cannot do yourself, such as review management, Google Business Profile upkeep and content. If your problems are technical and one-off, an audit tool plus a developer for a few hours is usually enough.

How much does LocalEnhance cost?

LocalEnhance’s website listed plans from ₱50,000 per location per month when we checked on November 1, 2026.

Can an agency and an audit tool work together?

Yes. Agencies use audit tools to check a prospect’s site before a sales call and to confirm their fixes worked.
